More about me

My (longer) Story

After nearly twenty years working in finance I decided to leave my corporate career and retrain as a psychotherapist. Psychology had fascinated me for many years, and I increasingly realised that I was more interested in people than spreadsheets—what shapes us, how our relationships and experiences influence who we become, and why we respond so differently to life’s challenges. Retraining was one of the best decisions I have ever made.

As a therapist, I am warm, curious and down-to-earth, and I feel privileged to support people through difficult periods of their lives, helping them understand themselves more deeply and move towards meaningful change.

My therapeutic approach

Person-centred foundation with CBT & DBT informed techniques

My therapeutic approach is integrative, meaning I draw upon a range of evidence-based approaches and tailor therapy to the individual or couple rather than expecting people to fit one particular model. I believe our psychological wellbeing is closely connected to our physical health, emotional experiences, relationships and wider environment, and that the mind and body cannot be understood entirely separately. #

I have particular interests in relationship counselling, attachment, trauma, neuropsychotherapy and emotional regulation.  I find interest in how our experiences, relationships, brain and nervous system can influence the way we think, feel and respond.

Above all, I aim to provide a warm, collaborative and non-judgemental therapeutic relationship where clients feel genuinely heard and understood, while developing greater self-awareness, emotional resilience and the capacity to create lasting change.

When I'm not at work, I am happiest....

Outside the therapy room, I enjoy an active lifestyle and value the balance that comes from spending time in both the countryside and London. Whether walking with my two dachshunds, Patsy and Eddie, skiing, golfing, fishing or spending time with friends, I believe movement, connection and purpose all play an important role in emotional wellbeing.
